Triathlon Swim Program

This is a targeted, purpose-built 6-week Adult Novice Triathlon Swim Course intended to meet a demonstrated, unmet demand from local triathletes as seen in the months prior to last year’s Ironman Boise 70.3. This course bridges the gap between general adult swim lessons and competitive swim training for triathlon by addressing the specific technical and situational demands of triathlon swimming within our existing facility, staffing, and safety framework.

Triathlon Participants

This course is designed for novice triathletes who:

  • Are adults (18+)

  • Can swim 500 yards continuously, using any stroke

  • Are not yet concerned with speed, but are focused on completion and the capability to successfully move on to the next element of the race without completely exhausting themselves out in the water.

Swimmers who cannot yet complete 500 yards will be directed to our existing Adult Novice Swim Lessons, which remain the appropriate entry point. This threshold ensures safety, appropriate pacing, and that the course stays triathlon-focused rather than remedial.

This class will be conducted entirely at the ICAC facility. There will be no off-site open-water swimming. The program will run for 6 weeks with practices occurring 2x per week on Monday & Wednesday mornings from 6am-7am.

*Unfortunately, there will be no class make-ups if an athlete misses a class. No refunds will be offered if an athlete needs to cancel the program.*
